Abstract original painting. This painting was covered in pigment, then soaked in pater and crushed by hand. This resulted in paper that was falling apart, but changed in texture. I think stitched it back together and reacted to the new canvas. Transparent pigment creates a sense of depth and atmosphere, while the stitching and loose mark-making invigorate the composition.
The painting has been coated with a durable uv-protective coating in order to preserve and maintain the pigments as they age. It is float mounted to a foam-core panel. It will need to be framed before hanging.
